Writing

Growing up, I'd hide in a quiet spot with a pile of books and let the stories fill my imagination. Inspired, I studied Fiction and Creative Writing, wanting to write my own stories and poems.

I transitioned into professional writing, designing and writing online course content for my university, marketing content for a Florida resort, and content for software companies.

I love to travel, and writing has become a fun way to revisit my trips and help others plan theirs.

Photography

Photography is my witchery. With a simple image, I can stop time, preserve a memory, share my perspective, give shape to emotions, and tell stories.

I capture quiet moments, simplistic beauty, curious natures, and long walks in strange cities.

Travel

I love to travel. I love to plot, plan, and research everything about a place. I ask friends, make Pinterest boards, design elaborate Google maps with potential places, and piece together rough itineraries. Usually, a panic follows when I realize there isn't enough time to see everything.

With my feet on the ground, I forget plans and lose myself exploring. I light up with new sights, experiences, and languages. I meet interesting people, try new foods, and take about 50,000 photographs. I fall in love and want to share what I have experienced.

And I return home, snuggle with my kittens, and watch some Netflix. But, before long, the wanderlust creeps in, and it starts again.

About me

Hi, I’m Annie. Photographer, writer, babbler, artist, and music junkie. A sentimental mermaid who watches far too much embarrassing TV and believes The Legend of Billie Jean is a classic. A Midwesterner forever and one of those children of the 80’s raised on Saturday morning cartoons, Seattle Grunge, and Count Chocula.

I love to tell stories, capture moments, and play with colors.

My bucket list overflows with wanderlust, I always fall for the snarkiest person in the room, and I can tell an enthusiastic story while balancing in Tree pose. I light up for Parisian pastries, upbeat macabre, Thoreau, long walks in strange cities, salty air, and moonlit swims.
